ACTION ALERT!
MASS PRO-LIFE COALITION
WILL PICKET CATHOLIC AWARD
TO PRO-ABORTION MARTY WALSH
On Friday, April 1, 2022, the Massachusetts Pro-Life Coalition will hold a demonstration to protest the grave scandal of a Catholic institution, Catholic Memorial School, presenting an award to a militant proponent of legal, unrestricted and tax-funded abortion, U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh.
As Mayor of Boston, Walsh, a NARAL Pro-Choice award recipient and a longtime Planned Parenthood collaborator, said he wanted to make Boston a sanctuary city for abortions, if Roe is overturned. As a Biden cabinet member, he is a ranking official in the most pro-abortion presidential administration in American history.
Walsh will receive the Blessed Edmund Rice Medal—named after the Founder of the Christian Brothers—at the school’s Spring Gala, on Friday evening, at the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel in Norwood. The Four Points Sheraton Hotel is located at 1125 Providence Turnpike in Norwood, southbound, just beyond the Route One Auto Mile and Staples.
The demonstration will begin on the Providence Turnpike sidewalk in front of the hotel property at 5:30 pm, on Friday, April 1st. It will continue until 7:30 pm.
Parking may be available in the FM Global parking lot. Turn in at the Four Points Sheraton sign, then take an immediate left once past the sign. Continue about 100 feet to a parking area in front of the FM Global building. It is important to avoid parking adjacent to the Four Points Sheraton building, or in any part of the Four Points Sheraton parking lot.
Massachusetts Pro-Life Coalition spokesman William Cotter, the President of Operation Rescue Boston, made the following comment: “The award to Marty Walsh is a shameful betrayal of Catholic principles, a cruel abandonment of the helpless unborn, and a callous insult to the dedicated members of the pro-life community, many of them faithful Catholics. It demonstrates a depraved indifference to the slaughter of 63 million unborn children since Roe v. Wade.”
“Please join us in solidarity with the innocent unborn, whose only voice is from the pro-life movement. Let the leaders of Catholic Memorial know that their betrayal of the school’s founders, and their betrayal of the Religion which the school professes in its very name, will not be endured in silence.”
The Massachusetts Pro-Life Coalition, founded in 2017, brings together Operation Rescue Boston; Mass Resistance; the Massachusetts Alliance to Stop Taxpayer Funded Abortions; the Pro-Life Legal Defense Fund; the Boston Church Militant Resistance Chapter; the Boston Chapter of Helpers of God’s Precious Infants; American University Women for Life; and the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts |
