HOW TO REGISTER:
Joint Committee on Public Health: Vaccines
The Joint Committee on Public Health will conduct a hybrid public hearing in Gardner Auditorium on July 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on bills relating to Vaccines.
You may to testify in person or virtually or submit written testimony. Individuals testifying should limit their remarks to 2 minutes. All panels should limit their testimony to a total of 4 minutes.
Persons planning to testify virtually must sign up no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023. Individuals and groups testifying in person are strongly encouraged to register prior to the deadline. Registration by the deadline is required for those who wish to testify virtually during the live hearing and encouraged for those who wish to testify in person.
You may submit testimony and/or sign up to testify by emailing: JointCommittee.PublicHealth@malegislature.gov. Please indicate whether you plan to testify in person or virtually.
Participants who indicate that they plan to testify virtually will receive an invitation to the hearing with instructions via email after the deadline closes. Kindly note, efforts will be made to hear all individuals and panels registered to testify; however, it is possible that time may not permit all testimony to be heard. The Committee welcomes written testimony from all parties.

Details: H.2151- An Act promoting community immunity: Allows vaccination at any age without parental consent, requires a new form for religious exemptions, allows private schools/entities to refuse religious exemptions, allows private schools/entities to require more vaccines than the Massachusetts schedule, and constrains medical exemptions. (S.1458 is the Senate version of H.2151.) H.604- An Act relative to routine childhood immunizations: Completely removes religious exemptions for school attendance. (S.1391 is the Senate version of H.604.) H.471- An Act requiring immunizations against preventable diseases: Adds HPV and Hepatitis A vaccines to the list of vaccines required for any child to attend school.
