Concord, N.H. Doctor to Pursue
Legislative Petition Signatures to Pressure Switzerland into
Returning Custody of his Two Teen Daughters
While looking in the DCF (Department of Children & Families) section of the www.BostonBroadside.com, you will see the first six parts of the outrageous story of U.S. teenagers Anna and Miriam Rizvi being abducted, through social services, to psychiatric wards and a group foster home in Switzerland. Fifteen-year-old Anna is still being incarcerated in a psychiatric facility and force-drugged after nearly two years, while sixteen-year-old Miriam is in a German-speaking group foster home.
Dr. Rizvi and Kevin Hall, New England Director of Citizens Commission on Human Rights, recently visited several New Hampshire legislators and other government officials. Below is an event notice sent to the media and a press release service that led to over 100 published media accounts about the abuse, including in the Concord Monitor and Boston Herald online editions:
EVENT NOTICE
CONCORD — Dr. Hil Rizvi and psychiatric watchdog Citizens Commission on Human Rights will contact legislators, as they enter the State Capitol for a session on North Main St., Concord, Thursday, September 13th at 10:30AM, to sign a petition urging a Swiss judge to return custody of his two U.S.-born teenage daughters who are being involuntarily confined in foster care and a Swiss in-patient psychiatric ward.
Rizvi feels that social services agencies have been used to attack him through his children, Anna and Miriam, for actively working with other doctors who have spoken out against hospital cost-saving policies that he feels puts patients at risk.
Hall and Rizvi claim that they have gained a lot of new support in their attempt to free the teenage girls from what they consider to be outrageous abuse and that many new actions will occur.
Dr. Hil Rizvi and psychiatric watchdog Citizens Commission on Human Rights got seven New Hampshire state legislators to sign a petition during their first morning gathering to demand that a Swiss judge return custody of Dr. Rizvi’s two US-born teenage daughters who are being involuntarily confined in a Swiss in-patient psychiatric ward and foster care, while several other legislators promised to further investigate the situation while contacting Swiss officials.
As covered in a six-part series in a Boston conservative newspaper, social services claimed medical neglect against Rizvi for not fully going along with the girls’ eating disorder treatment plans that included involuntary commitment and a powerful antipsychotic for his younger daughter. Dr. Rizvi claims that his daughters have been targeted through social services due to his work in protecting doctors who have spoken up against cost-cutting hospital policies that he feels puts patients at risk.
“Occasionally, the media has covered some of the overly zealous and abusive social services cases that include child psychiatry and their private probate court hearings,” said Kevin Hall, New England Director of the psychiatric watchdog group Citizens Commission on Human Rights. “The cases of Justina Pelletier being confined to a Boston psychiatric ward instead of treating her physical ailment and Detroit mother Maryanne Godboldo having a SWAT team and tank sent to her house when refusing to keep her 13-year-old girl on an antipsychotic made national news, but most similar cases, like that of the Rizvi’s, fly under the radar as the families are decimated.”
The Rizvi case goes back several years. According to Dr. Rizvi, both girls were doing well in school with several friends in Maryland when taken to the mother’s home country of Switzerland and put in psychiatric wards. It was a coordinated effort of social services in Maryland and Switzerland. Rizvi and his wife fought together to get the younger girl returned. Rizvi said that his older teen did not get returned as she had gone along with authorities to stop demanding a return home in order to get out of a psychiatric ward and into a less abusive German-speaking foster group home.
After a lot of stress, Dr. Rizvi moved to Concord, New Hampshire with the younger girl while his former wife moved back to her home country of Switzerland. While agreeing to what Rizvi thought was to be a short visit to a Cambridge, Mass. eating disorder center, they decided to involuntarily commit his daughter and put her on an anti-psychotic at a dosage that Rizvi refused. Shortly after, in October 2016, Massachusetts social services went to court and gave a five-day custody order to the mother to bring the girl back to Switzerland wherein the girl was immediately locked and drugged in the psychiatric facility. She still remains there and Swiss social services has taken parental rights away from both parents. The girl is a New Hampshire citizen who has always lived in the United States, but never in Massachusetts and her only connection to Switzerland was through her mother.
“Today we made progress in getting help from some very good government officials,” said Hall. “We plan to continue work with the Rizvi family until the children are safely returned to the United States where they belong.” ♦
