NEWS RELEASE Thursday, June 3, 2021 For the month of June, 2021, the United States Embassy to the Holy See will, in conformity with the policy of the Biden Administration, fly the so-called rainbow flag, which expresses pride in the mortal sin of sodomy. The Catholic Action League characterized this outrage as “a deliberate affront to the Holy See, a calculated insult to faithful Catholics, and a defiant act of contempt for the moral teachings of the Catholic and Apostolic Church.” Catholic Action League Executive Director C. J. Doyle made the following comment: “The Catholic condemnation of the sin of impurity against nature is founded in the explicit words of Genesis and Leviticus in the Old Testament, and of the Epistles of Saint Paul and Saint Jude in the New Testament, and in Holy Tradition, and in natural law. It has been sustained, for two millennia, by the magisterial teachings of the Popes and the Councils. It has been expounded in the moral theology of the Saints, the Fathers of the Church and the Doctors of the Church, and is reflected in both catechetics and canon law. “The Catechism of the Catholic Church, promulgated by Pope Saint John Paul II, states ‘Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law…Under no circumstances can they be approved.‘ “ “In Catholic Tradition, the sin of Sodom is the second of the ‘Four Sins which Cry to Heaven for Vengeance.'” “After spending his first four months in office promoting abortion in the federal budget, foreign aid, and the United Nations, Joe Biden is now mocking the Vatican on behalf of one of the most powerful constituencies in the Democratic Party.” “The long running comedy about Joe Biden the devout Catholic is starting to bore the audience. Biden has no credibility as a Catholic. It should be apparent to anyone above the age of reason that the occupant of the White House is a committed adversary of the Catholic Faith.” |
