Boston, MA: The Family Freedom Endeavor, Inc., is a nonprofit organization that has been spearheading the effort to support and represent families and college students in Connecticut, Massachusetts and in seventeen states throughout the country. Led by its founder, Vincent Delaney, correspondence with several universities has already been sent out, a lawsuit against UConn is currently underway and a lawsuit against the UMass Lowell and UMass Boston has just been filed (SEE HERE)
The mandate requires students to take a COVID-19 vaccine, which has not been approved by the FDA, as a condition of their enrollment and attendance at UMass Boston and UMass Lowell in the Fall of Mr. Delaney and the Family Freedom Endeavor, along with hundreds of students and parents oppose the Universities’ mandates, claiming that they violates federal law and their constitutional rights, along with their right to informed consent. Mr. Delaney and the parents believe that the choice to obtain the vaccine resides with the students and their parents, and at this point in time it is a decision between them and their physician, not the school.
The school’s decision to deny the students an education for not taking an unapproved drug violates their rights under the United States and Massachusetts Constitutions, and federal law. “There is absolutely no reason for this type of overreach by the government,” said Delaney. Massachusetts is one of a few states that is instituting such a policy on their campuses.
The Complaint was filed in the Federal District Court on July 30, 2021 and will be served immediately.
Two students are named on the complaint, however numerous students feared retribution in various forms, both by UMass faculty and students if they were to be named in the lawsuit publicly. The lawsuit asserts that both universities, along with their respective chancellors, in enacting this policy, violated its students’ fourteenth amendment rights, rights to informed consent, and exceeded their authority.

Vincent Delaney is no stranger to standing up to government overreach and fighting for the constitutional rights of others. He files his own lawsuit against Governor Baker’s unconstitutional lockdowns in June of 2020 and led the effort to fight the Governor’s proposed flu mandate, which, after Delaney’s group filed a lawsuit, the Governor eventually withdrew.
