FLANAGAN’S FRAUD AGAINST THE VOTERS AND LIES TO INVESTIGATORS COMING HOME TO ROOST

Cape Cod Concerned Citizens is calling on State Representative, Christopher Flanagan, to resign from his 1st Barnstable District house seat. Mr. Flanagan engaged in deceptive and illegal behavior when he 1) lied about his personal involvement in a political mailer and lied repeatedly to OCPF (Office of Campaign and Political Finance) by creating a fictitious person whom he claimed was responsible for payment of said mailer.
Mr. Flanagan carried on this lie with OCPF officials for many months. Upon finally meeting with OCPF, Mr. Flanagan lied again to them. The day after that meeting, his attorney admitted the truth of the entire fabrication, that there was no “Jeanne Louise” and that he had sent and paid for the mailer himself.
After being caught, Mr. Flanagan said that it was simply a “mistake” and that he was glad to “have it all behind him”. Unfortunately for him, the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod did not feel that this disgrace was behind him and asked him to resign from their association.
Mr. Flanagan should also immediately resign as state representative of the 1st Barnstable District. He has completely destroyed all faith and trust that his constituents may have had in him as both a representative and a human being. If House Speaker, Ronald Mariano does not call for his immediate resignation, then Mr. Mariano is complicit in this illegal, fraudulent activity.
