A REQUEST FOR PRAYERS
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Melissa Bagley, the mother of four from Lynn, Massachusetts, who drowned in Franconia Falls, New Hampshire, on August 15th, while attempting, heroically, to rescue her ten year old son, who had fallen into the Pemigewasset River.
The boy was eventually saved and will recover.
Please pray also for her husband, Lieutenant Sean Bagley of the Everett, Massachusetts Police Department, and for her children, all of whom have suffered such a grievous, unexpected and heartbreaking loss.
The Bagley family are members of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Swampscott.
Melissa was the sister-in-law of Dan Bagley, who is a longtime member of the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
