Normally, protesting an elected official at his or her home is considered a bit too over-the-top, but many believe not when the gubernatorial office has moved to the governor’s residence due to the governor’s imposed lockdown.
LOCKDOWN- START, CAUTIOUS, VAGUE, NO DETAILS, HOW DO BUSINESSES COPE?
When asked by reporters when and who and what the governor expects to provide for details regarding the timing and lifting of his edicts, he snapped back at them, and said we can all wait until next week to find out what his plans are. They should have seen this coming: corner Charlie with a detailed question when he’s playing things by ear with no reason, and he snaps like a five-year old having a tantrum.
GUBERNATORIAL OFFICE
RE-LOCATED TO CHARLIE’S HOME
With the state on lockdown imposed by Massachusetts’s Liberal Republican Governor Charlie Baker, the Governor’s home is now the gubernatorial office, so that’s where recent protests have been held, and more will follow.
LOCATION:
On public property, in front of and across the street from Gov. Charlie Baker’s Gubernatorial Home Office located at:
49 Monument Ave, Swampscott, Mass., 01907
DATE: SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2020
TIME: 2:00 P.M.
The purpose of the rally is to bring repeated visibility to the unresponsive governor who has shown limited if any ability to understand the havoc he is causing by his inconsistent edicts, for example, allowing people to “social distance” at HOME DEPOT and liquor stores, but threatening to FINE most businesses if they dare to open or otherwise serve customers, ditto for churches when he can.
(It took an NRA court filing and a federal judge’s mandate to slap Baker in the face last week and give the governor two days to correct his overreach as regards imposing limits on gun shops and training classes.)
Recent protests at the governor’s office at his home in Swampscott continue to grow with peaceful protesters holding signs and making the governor aware of their displeasure with “King Charles.” We encourage groups or individuals to post their information and website and such here for sharing.
GOVERNOR’S PAY:
A year ago – January 1, 2019 to be specific – Massachusetts’s Liberal “Republican” Governor Charlie Baker’s base compensation rocketed 67%, and on top of that, he began receiving a yearly cash bonus of $65,000 as a “housing allowance,” bringing Gov. Baker’s annual taxpayer haul to in excess of $250,000 per year.
Charlie lives in Swampscott in a 10-room mansion worth beyond $1.5 million.
Can you imagine having a job and getting a 67% increase in pay, and having your employer also toss in another $65K to help you with your mortgage?
