MassGOP statement regarding Baker/Polito decision
Dec. 1, 2021
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WOBURN — It’s now official: Gov. Charlie Baker will not be running for a third term.
“We’re turning a new page here in Massachusetts,” said Massachusetts Republican Party Chairman Jim Lyons. “Our party remains committed to the America-First agenda advocated by President Donald J. Trump, and it’s clear to me that Charlie Baker was shaken by President Trump’s endorsement of another Republican candidate in Geoff Diehl.”
“Our party remains committed to the strong conservative values of freedom, individual liberty, and personal responsibility. We look forward to working with President Trump as we continue to rebuild the Massachusetts Republican Party.”
The Republicans need to put a full effort into next years election for governor. Healey is the most ineffective state attorney general in modern state history. Her record on fighting corruption and advocating for consumers is just about non existent. Republicans need to attract the majority of moderate voters in this state
who usually don’t vote. Taunton Mayor O’Connell should be on the Republican ticket. She has been speaking out on issues for years. She wouldn’t be afraid to confront Healey’s arrogance.
