THE MASS. BALLOT QUESTIONS: YES, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO

NOTE BETWEEN PRINTED EDITIONS:

We keep getting asked about “the questions.”

Sadly, we did not include a suggested voter guide, but many others have, and with them we agree, including MassFiscal Alliance, the MassGOP (amazing) and others.

VOTE YES to audit the most smokescreen-filled legislature in the country. They’ve not been audited since 1922.

VOTE NO on all other questions.

SO, YES, NO, NO, NO, NO   – and on the Cape, NO, NO (they have more questions)

What are the questions? Legalizing more drugs, unionize more workers (unions typically donate 98% of their campaign contributions to DEMOCRATS in this state – why give them more money?), impose a complicated multi-year transition/elimination of tips for bartenders and waitresses, eliminate any measurement of the quality of education in Mass. – currently 70,000 kids take an MCAS test each year, and of those about 1,200 have problems and need to re-take the test after some remedial work, and in the end, approx. 700 need intense remediation, mostly due to language and or other factors. If the test is eliminated, these 700 will skate through school without remediation, and their teachers will never be held accountable.  LET’S NOT MESS UP MASS ANY MORE WITH FAST CHANGED FUELED BY BIG MONEY GROUPS RADICAL CHANGES.

Let’s vote YES, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, HELL NO!

  1. It is very sad that the Mass Teachers Association has spent so much time and money in trying to end MCAS requirements. MCAS makes sure that kids can read and write and be able to be literate when they graduate. Teachers being against MCAS is the equivilent of fire chiefs being opposed to smoke detectors. It seems that the teachers want to eliminate any standards and make their jobs easier. The students come second.
