ANTI-TRUMP ‘REPUBLICAN’ MASS. SENATE CANDIDATES WIN STRAW POLL

NOTES BETWEEN PRINTED EDITIONS

SPECIAL COMMENTARY
by Lonnie Brennan

A straw poll held at the conclusion of a nearly 90-minute winding, lackluster candidate forum propelled ANTI-TRUMP candidates to the top:John Deaton who has repeatedly made it clear that he’s playing the role of former governor Charlie Baker in his non-support of Donald J. Trump took the big win tonight.    Deaton made a particular point on iHEART radio to repeatedly state that he does not support the candidacy of Donald J. Trump for president.

Deaton was followed by lifellong Democrat activist turned ‘Republican’ Ian Cain who didn’t offer a word of support for Trump throughout the event, and came in second place.

Robert Antonellis, the conservative Trump supporter sported a Donald J. Trump hat and came in dead last in the poll, conducted by the Norfolk County Republican club.

Deaton’s campaign was quick to issue a press release thankful for their candidate’s victory.

Notable Massachusetts Republican Party faces in the audience included the MassGOP Vice Chair Judy Crocker, infamous for her Democrat retention plan (supporting the practice of not openly endorsing Republican candidates who run against sitting Democrats, aka, the unholy alliance, as exposed by WXTK Cape Cod radio host Ed Lambert on his show.)

RESULTS:

Antonellis:  21 votes (14 in person, 7 online)

DEMOCRAT HEALEY ENDORSER: Cain:  29 votes  (18 in person, 11 online)

ANTI-TRUMP Deaton:  163 votes (86 in person, 77 online)

  1. Not surprised. Deaton is clearly being supported by the Massachusetts RINO’s, (hello Amy Carnevale, Judy Crocker, etc…) and Cain is just a left-wing plant. The only true conservatives running are Antonellis and Aaron Packard who is running on a write-in campaign. Unfortunately, this is still Massachusetts, and Warren is not going to lose.
