Candidate for MassGOP State Committee
In 2022 I ran for Congress in the 6th District.
I lost to a 4-term incumbent Democrat in deep blue Massachusetts – no big surprise.
But it was gratifying that my America First message of conservative values – faith, family, freedom, and free enterprise resonated so well with voters on the North Shore that I received more than 110,000 votes.
The point is, CONSERVATISM ABSOLUTELY HAS A HOME HERE IN MASSACHUSETTS
No one can convince me that you have to compromise your principles, morals and beliefs if you want to be elected as a Republican here, and you shouldn’t be conned into believing that either.
I am a lifelong Republican – 45 years and counting – all in Massachusetts. Like many of you reading this from my generation, I’ve watched our Republican Party slowly slide into irrelevancy over the past 40 of those years.
But here’s the thing. our opponents in this campaign would have you believe that the root cause of this death spiral was not their own failure to grow the party and recruit and train conservative Republican candidates, no – it was because of a guy named Jim Lyons – who was elected Chairman of the MassGOP just four years ago.
I first met Jim Lyons in 2020 when he recruited me to run for State Representative in Peabody. During that summer Jim personally went door knocking with me during the dog days of August, he’d drive up to my office in Newburyport every Wednesday to strategize on the campaign, and staged a successful fundraiser for me at MassGOP headquarters in Woburn.
I NEVER would have obtained the experience or the confidence I needed to challenge Seth Moulton if it were not for the leadership of Jim Lyons. Instead, Moulton would have just run unopposed.
AND YET BOTH OF THESE TWO VOTED AGAINST RE-ELECTING JIM AS CHAIR LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF HIS CONSERVATIVE VALUES AND HIS SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT TRUMP IN FAVOR OF AN ESTABLISHMENT WASHINGTON LOBBYIST.
I’m running because I want to continue taking the MassGOP in the direction that Chairman Lyons was taking before he was cut off at the knees by our State Committee opponents.
Alexander Hamilton once said, “Stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.” I hope you will remember these words when you go the polls on March 5 to elect your State Committee Representatives.
In Peabody, Danvers, Salem, and Beverly, there is a very clear contrast between the candidates for this race.
My running mate Sandy Franceschini and I are America First candidates. We are the alternatives to the “go along to get along” with Democrats attitude of our two opponents.
I’ve been asked a thousand times if I’ve been asked once – “Republicans can’t get elected here, is there any hope?” My answer has never changed: “As long as there are good people willing to do the hard work at the grassroots ground level, then yes.”
Sandy and I have demonstrated that we meet that criteria. Unlike our opponents, we are not in this to get clicks and likes on our social media, or collect titles and positions on the boards of random political groups.
And also unlike our opponents, we will NEVER promote, endorse, or support Democrats. Unlike Sandy’s opponent Jaclyn Corriveau, you will NEVER see either of us quoted in Boston Magazine: “I hope Hillary Clinton runs – I would vote for her.”
Democrats here already have control of the state legislature, senate, governorship, and the legacy media. They don’t need any help from our State Committee delegation too.
I respectfully ask for your vote for Sandy Franceschini and myself on March 5 so we can make the MassGOP Great Again!
