The 2024 presidential election resulted in a resounding mandate for the agenda outlined since 2015 by the Republican nominee, now President-elect, Donald J. Trump. His slogan since then has been to “Make America Great Again.” This really means his supporters want to “Make America, America Again” and thereby reject the repeated attempts by left-wing zealots to turn this nation into a socialist state.
Trump swept the battleground states of Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He won the Electoral College 312-226 and the popular vote. His party won majorities in the House and Senate. Thus, Americans rose in resounding numbers to deal a blow to the Democratic project to “fundamentally transform America,” as President Barack Obama vowed to do since his election in 2008. This would require diminishing America’s standing in the world, expanding the intervention of the state in the economy and kowtowing to transnational forces in trade and immigration. Piece by piece, America’s identity would be destroyed.
Trump won a mandate against this in 2016, promising to prioritize the needs of American citizens as the focus of all his legislative efforts. Neither the hysterical left, nor the establishment, globalist right got the memo. They worked to sabotage the people’s wishes at every turn by smearing and blocking the messenger of the America First agenda, Trump. They hamstrung his presidency at every turn, even with two flimsy impeachments, all sound and fury signifying nothing.
In early 2020, Democrats, their sycophantic media allies and the Deep State used the outbreak of the COVID pandemic to destroy free speech and rewrite election laws in various states. They set in motion the return to power of an Obama acolyte, Joe Biden. He had lied to the public that he would be moderate in governance and instead choose to dismantle Trump’s policies, even those that were working. Biden opened the border and reversed our energy independence, again enacting the nefarious plan to destroy the nation’s strength, identity and heritage. Obama’s Third Term was now underway. All they needed was one more four-year window of power to run roughshod over the last remnants of a free people.
In a roaring, historic revolt, Americans rose to the occasion. The key question of election 2024 was: To whom does the nation belong? Does it belong to the globalist, international order erected by the Republican and Democratic establishment? Does it belong to transnational corporatists who transfer America’s wealth to other nations and destroy our manufacturing base? Does it belong to immigrants of every nation who can stomp on our ground at will? Does it belong to left-wing ideologues that prioritize a nutty climate agenda before the immediate needs of the country’s citizens? Would our blood and treasure be dissipated to satiate a global redistribution of wealth—that is, the continued stealing from Americans to satisfy the dream of international socialism?
And the answer given was beautiful: No, this country belongs to Americans. Its policies must serve the needs of its citizens. This means close the border, restore our energy and manufacturing strength and stop reckless spending on endless wars. This requires a focus on the citizens who reside here, for whom every penny spent by its government, past and present, and every policy is their birthright.
The Democratic coalition fractured under the pressure of the party’s failures: among Black men, Latinos, Asians, the young, the working class and across our suburbs, Americans either stayed home in protest or voted to veer course, to restore the nation to its core principles.
At stake too, was our sacred right to free speech. The left began to undermine speech by dictating oppressive rules of “political correctness” and graduating to outright collusion with Google, Facebook and then-Twitter to coerce and crush speech—and thereby subvert thought. Billionaire investor Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter in 2022, now X, marked a watershed moment: the oligarchs were divided between those who would resist smashing speech rights and those willing to defend it as an unshakeable, inalienable right for all.
And finally, among this sweeping backlash, the “manosphere” had enough. Feminists have tipped the scales of redressing past wrongs well beyond the natural order. Young men who have gravitated by the millions to alternative media outlets such as “The Joe Rogan Experience” were inspired by Trump’s alpha male persona. Our boys are not second-class citizens to our girls. Their mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers—in essence, women—said no to eliminating the male identity altogether. The left failed to recognize that the battle for equal rights is not the same as favoring an unnatural, oppressive and destructive gender-neutral ideology.
Bravo to every single one of the 75,173, 436 Americans who cast a vote in election 2024 for the rebuilding of our “city upon a hill.” You have helped to restore the natural order and reclaim our nation’s golden heritage of free markets, free speech and free elections worthy of a great people.
The mandate is clear: America for Americans.
