Well, it took 64 days ( nine weeks) before the Biden White House held its first press conference. All you had to do was watch and listen to Biden at the podium with his large binder of notes before him to know he was prepped for the questions before they were even asked.
The hour-long spectacle was just that, a spectacle. Over the first 20 minutes, Biden didn’t sound half-bad but the longer he went the more he rambled endlessly to the point, I needed a roadmap to follow him.
By the second half of his press conference, he was quite sad to watch as he stumbled along all by himself. Too bad the media kept asking him softball questions for which he already had the answers to return.
I didn’t expect much more than I got from him but I did expect the media to do its job so much better. No wonder folks call it the Fake News Media. Reporter after reporter asked questions like they weren’t members of the White House Pool Reporters but as employees of the White house Communications Office. One question asked was about whether or not he would run for re-election in 2024 and whether or not Harris would stay on the ticket. Riveting questions they were not.
Now we know why his campaign handlers kept him locked up in his bunker during the campaign. The less we saw of him, the better his chances of doing just what ended up happening happened.
Ten reporters were called on for all the questions and all members of the Fake News. FOX News and Newsmax reporters knew they were just part of the audience like the rest of us.
When Biden wasn’t totally confused he lied as when he said that Trump actually was somehow responsible for the deaths of little children coming to the borders. NONSENSE!
Biden also misspoke when he said that this year’s surge happens every January, February and March. NOT TRUE and he must know that. As I read liberal newspapers like the Washington Post and Boston Globe, one would think Biden was just as good as Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton or Jack Kennedy when in a give and take with media representatives. He wasn’t.
I would say Biden showed how tiring it becomes for him talking more than fifteen or twenty minutes. Overall, I give Biden a “D” grade for his performance behind that podium BUT I give the fake reporters asking fake questions a grade of “F” as in “flunk’ not “fine.”
One can be assured the next presidential press conference might not take place until after Biden gives us the okay to hold those JULY 4 BBQs in our backyards this summer.
